Indoor Archery Open Shooting

For beginners to advanced shooters, With our equipment or your own

Fridays 6:00 – 8:00 and Saturdays 10:00 – 12:00

$2 per individual

Please call ahead for availability

Archers shoot from 5 to 20 yards at Bulls Eye Targets, Animal Targets, Balloons, and Tic-Tac-Toe Targets. We also offer Archery Birthday Parties, and have special family or group rates.

 

Cripple Creek Outdoor 2-D Archery Range

Open Year Round Dawn to Dusk

$5 per individual per day

$25 for a 12 month Unlimited Use Pass

Kids 12 and under shoot FREE with a paid adult

This public range is new to the Cripple Creek area, and is open daily from sun-up to sun-down. The range simulates real hunting situations, as the 2-D Targets are shot uphill, down hill, through the trees, in the open, and at different unmarked distances.  Once you try out this fun range, you will definitely be hooked!  Also, you will get a workout too as the range is very hilly!  Boots and long pants are highly recommended!

Saturdays, 10:00 – 12:00

$20 Membership Fee, includes T-shirt (you can attend 3 times before paying)

We will meet at CCP&R on Saturday mornings from 10:00 to 12:00 for archery education, shooting practice and coaching.  You will actually be in training to go to indoor and outdoor tournaments and 3-D shoots around the state. There is a cost for these events ranging from $10 to about $35 per event plus transportation (we can car pool), but the coaching & practice at CCP&R is FREE with membership.

Consider This: Archery is truly a lifelong sport for all ages, and ANYBODY can learn how to shoot, and most that do love it!  You don’t have to be athletic, big, strong, fast, or smart.  People with mental & physical disabilities, and even blind people shoot and compete in archery.

 

Archery Classes for Beginners, Intermediates, and Advanced

Days: Friday evenings or Saturday mornings (ongoing – call John at 689-3514 for more info and to register)

Time: Fridays 5:00 pm – 6:00 pm, Saturdays 8:00 am – 10:00 am

Cost: $5 per hour (we suggest 4 hours per student)

      Family Discount:      $2.50 per hour for 2nd and 3rd family members – Any additional family members are FREE

Choose between Friday night classes or Saturday mornings. (Open Shooting sessions are FREE while you are taking classes.) We have all the necessary equipment if you don’t have your own. All classes stress SAFETY! The emphasis of all classes is to learn how to shoot well, and above all to have fun! This is great family fun for all ages. To date, the youngest student is 3 yrs 5 months, and the oldest is 80.

Targets are DuraMesh 2-D animal targets with scoring rings.  You will get a workout too as the range is very hilly!  Boots and long pants are highly recommended!  Competitors will be divided up into different Classes based on:  AGE, SEX, and EQUIPMENT  TYPE. First group will shoot 1:00 pm – 3:00 pm

Second group will shoot 3:00 pm – 5:00 pm

Prizes for all classes

12 Ends 5 Arrows Each for a total of 60 arrows

Competitors will be divided up by age, sex, skill level, and type of equipment.  This helps give everyone an equal chance.  Also, shooting distances will very by age (from 5 to 20 yds.).  The most important part of the whole event is to have fun, meet new people with the same interest, and maybe even win a prize.
