  • $25 for a 12 month Unlimited Use Pass
  • Kids 12 and under shoot FREE with a paid adult

This public range is open daily from sun-up to sun-down. The range simulates real hunting situations, as the 2-D Targets are shot uphill, down hill, through the trees, in the open, and at different unmarked distances.  Once you try out this fun range, you will definitely be hooked!  Also, you will get a workout as the range is very hilly!  Boots and long pants are highly recommended!

ATTENTION: Before shooting outdoors the first time you must go to Cripple Creek Parks and Recreation at the corner of Bennett Ave and 1st Street to sign a liability waiver, get a copy of the range safety rules, pay the fee, and get directions to the range.

TyTans (Teller Youth Team Archery) Archery Club

Coach John 719-930-7081

Cripple Creek Parks and Recreation: most Fridays, for 1 1/2 hours between 4:00 and 7:00

$20 Membership Fee (you can attend 3 times before paying) includes: TyTans t-shirt, free open shooting, free use of equipment, free class, free coaching, and membership is good until you turn 18!

This Archery Club is just for kids/youth, male/female, ages 8 to 17.  We meet indoors at Cripple Creek Parks & Recreation (CCP&R) first and third Friday of the month from 4:00 to 7:00.  Youth are invited to come and try it out three times (the first time is a beginner/safety class) for FREE!  If they like it and want to continue, then there is a one time membership fee of $20 which includes a T-Shirt, and membership is valid until they turn 18!

Why archery you may ask?  Well, studies show that archery helps kids/youth focus, learn patience, develop self-discipline/self-control/self-confidence, concentrate, gain emotional intelligence, get some exercise, and through all this they can become better students in school. Another advantage of archery is that it is truly a lifelong sport for all ages, and ANYBODY can learn how to shoot, and most that do love it!  You don’t have to be athletic, big, strong, fast, or smart.  People with mental & physical disabilities, and even blind people shoot archery.

We meet for archery education, shooting practice, coaching, and training so we can go to indoor and outdoor tournaments and 3-D shoots around the state. There is a cost for these events ranging from $10 to about $35 per event plus transportation (we will car pool), but the coaching & practice is FREE, and there is no charge for the FUN!

Even if you have never tried archery but would like to that’s great.  We love teaching beginners how to shoot properly and safely.  (Mr. John is a Level-3 Certified Archery Instructor/Coach)  If you don’t have any equipment no worries.  We have everything you need to use for FREE!

If you are interested in being  part of this program or have questions, please call Mr. John any time at 719-930-7081 (please DO NOT TEXT!).

Let’s get involved and make Teller County  “An Archery Force to be Reckoned With”, and above all LET’S HAVE FUN!!!
